Waterless Skincare FAQ's
What is Waterless Skincare?
The concept of water-free skincare (also known as anhydrous skincare) started in South Korea in 2015 and refers to products that are formulated without the use of water.
Instead, they are produced using alternatives such as fruit and flower water, plant extracts, waxes and oils. Some come in a concentrated powdered form that can be mixed with water at home to activate the product

Why should I choose waterless skincare products?
Waterless skincare products are more concentrated since they don't rely on water as a filler. This means you get more active ingredients per use, which can enhance the effectiveness of the product. Additionally, waterless formulations are often more sustainable and environmentally friendly, reducing the need for preservatives and packaging.
Are Wild Rising Skincare's waterless products suitable for all skin types?
Yes, our waterless skincare products are formulated with a variety of natural, organic, and vegan ingredients that cater to different skin types, including dry, oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. We focus on using plant-based ingredients that are gentle yet effective for all skin concerns.
How do I use waterless skincare products?
Waterless skincare products are typically more concentrated, so a little goes a long way. For oils and balms, apply a small amount to your fingertips and gently massage into your skin. For powdered products, mix a small amount with a hydrosol or other liquid to create a paste before applying.
Do waterless products require preservatives?
Since waterless products do not contain water, they are less susceptible to microbial growth and often require fewer preservatives. This allows us to create cleaner formulations with minimal additives, ensuring the purity and effectiveness of our skincare products.
How does waterless skincare benefit my skin compared to traditional water-based products?
Waterless skincare products are more potent and can deliver higher concentrations of beneficial ingredients directly to your skin. This can result in more noticeable improvements in skin hydration, texture, and overall appearance compared to traditional water-based products.
Is Waterless Skincare Suitable for Acne-Prone Skin?
Yes, waterless skincare can be highly beneficial for acne-prone skin. Unlike traditional skincare products that often contain water as a primary ingredient, waterless formulations are concentrated with active ingredients, providing more potent benefits without the need for preservatives that can irritate sensitive skin.
