Are your products organic?
Yes, our products contain organic ingredients.
Are your products vegan?
Yes, no animals have been harmed when making our products.
Which products should I use if I'm new to Wild Rising?
As all our formulations are gentle and work in harmony with your skin, you can feel confident introducing any of our products into your current skincare regime. If you haven’t yet found your ideal skincare routine, we’d recommend cleansing and moisturising twice a day as an introduction to achieving healthy and vibrant skin.
I have oily skin, do I still need to moisturise?
All skin, however oily, needs nurturing with vitamins and essential fatty acids at least once a day, morning and night if possible. This is to ensure that it's in the best possible condition. Look for a light and non-greasy face oil that is easily absorbed into the skin.
I have ______ skin type , what products would your recommend for my skin?
We completely understand it can cause a headache deciding on which products are best suited to your skin. This is why we will tailor a skin routine specifically for you. Just select your skin type from the drop down menu and we will do the rest.
Do your products contain preservatives?
No need. All our products are 100% natural and as they do not contain water, there’s no need for nasty preservatives.
What’s the shelf life of your ingredients?
Typically between 12-18 months. While it is best to use up a product within six months of opening, storing them in a cool, dry place, and using clean hands to obtain the product, always help maintain the integrity of the shelf life.
Why shouldn’t I use a metal spoon to mix up my clay masks?
Essentially, the metal reacts with the clay, which causes it to lose most of its healing properties. For this reason, we highly recommend using accessories that aren’t metal, including the mixing bowl to make up the mask.
When purchasing our clay masks you’ll have the option to add a face mask applicator and wooden spoon in addition to our beautiful handmade ritual bowls.
Why are powdered face masks better than liquid ones?
Our powdered face masks contain dry ingredients that need to be activated by mixing them with water or any other liquid. As a result the powder can stay stable for longer and therefore does not need preservatives, making it a safer alternative for the skin. Liquid masks are already activated and need to be used quickly after opening.
Don’t forget that mixing a powdered face mask with water, oil or honey gives you the satisfaction of preparing your own beauty recipe at home.
How often can I use a face mask?
Our masks are great for sensitive skin so can be used up to three times weekly.
How long do I leave a face mask on for?
Clay masks work wonders on your skin BUT only when they are moist. Try to avoid letting the mask dry completely as this may lead to redness. Remove with a damp cloth and water. Do not scrub. Follow with one of our face oils.
You can always keep your face moist by misting with water or one of our Rose Water face toners.
Why is my face red after using a mask?
Some redness after a clay mask application is normal because clay brings blood to the surface of your skin whilst absorbing impurities. Just make sure you don’t leave it on for too long.
How long will a pot of face mask last?
Approx 20 separate occasions. This equates to each application only costing 90p.
What is Limonene, Linolool & Citronellol?
Don’t panic, these are still natural and are occurring components of essential oils. None of our products include any synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances or parabens.
